Football Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

Fulham have got plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
