The star midfielder Played in an advanced position on the right while also contributed with defensive duties. Showed moments of class but dragged a shot wide. Substituted late on for Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s top opening in the opening period, his effort smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah holding position, he had to provide width down the right side but his crosses into the box were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner netting 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. The first a classic opportunist's goal and his next an excellent headed goal after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, he continues to improve and England are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to influence play out wide. Had a decent opportunity following a pass from a teammate but Strakosha kept it out. Rashford made much more of an impact after coming on. 5/10
